The African Companions project was devised as a community education and capacity-building project.  Its emphasis was on increasing knowledge in African refugee communities about alcohol and other drugs, and enhancing access to treatment services. This report contains details about the project strategies and outcomes, including the challenges faced in implementing the project and how these challenges were overcome.
